Mark Gunn, Republican Candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives District 56
Respect. Respond. Serve.
A Lifetime of Leadership and Service
From Mark Gunn's service in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary to his active membership in the Knights of Columbus and its community outreach programs, Mark Gunn has always been an active volunteer for his community.
Service to others is in Mark Gunn's nature. Mark served years as a Big Brother and participated in his local school’s Dad’s club to be a source of support and advice for his fellow fathers. He also served multiple terms on his homeowner's association, with a mind for peaceably resolving disputes among members, and minimizing costs and red tape.
Being a small business owner for 30 years, Mark understands firsthand how crucial it is to be responsive to every customer, without fail. With this attitude, Mark grew his restaurant in Troy to 24 locations. He currently owns a loss control inspection company and is a licensed real estate broker.
Mark's most personal focus, if chosen by voters to serve our communities, is promoting a parent-involved quality education program -- for his children and ours.
Mark Gunn is also a strong supporter of our police, firefighters, EMTs, and our military. He will always stand strong to defend our public safety services.
Mark is also passionate about his respect for parks and other open spaces, and the need to preserve them, informed by his American Indian heritage.
Fundamentally, Mark's core principles are "service, responsiveness, and respect." He will always cherish the value of listening to everyone, and will continue to apply this principle at all times in serving his clients, his community, and, if chosen by voters, our Troy, Clawson, Royal Oak, and Bloomfield communities as our representative in the State House.
